BBC NEWS | South Asia | London bomber buried in Pakistan

BBC NEWS | South Asia | London bomber buried in Pakistan:

"The remains of Shahzad Tanweer were flown in by his parents on
Wednesday and buried on Thursday in Punjab province, Aftab Sherpao
said.

More than 50 people died in the attacks on four sites in London on 7 July."

It seems absurd to me that someone who has caused the deaths of some 50 people has their funeral and religious wishes fulfilled. Criminals who are convicted and sentenced to life without parole are buried in unmarked graves with no ceremony. While the bomber wasn't convicted of a crime there is little doubt that he is guilty and so should not have been treated any different than any other evil criminal who has viciously attacked society. This seems to be some political correct action that was not well thought out. A shame.

Just thought I'd post to mention that I was at a book signing for the latest Robert Jordan novel in the Wheel of Time series, 'Knife of Dreams' and put a number of pictures up at Flickr of the event. My favorite author was wonderful and it was worth the trip. I was a bit concerned for him since I noticed that his lips were bluish. Looking at
the official blog site he mentions that he has had a full check up and actual doctors say he is okay. I'd advise that he get an echocardiogram at least. Blue lips is not a healthy sign you know.

WAVY.COM - Kilgore: death penalty critics not fit to be governor

WAVY.COM - Kilgore: death penalty critics not fit to be governor

I know nothing at all about the Virginia governor's race except that I've just learned that the Republican candidate who is aptly named 'Jerry Kilgore' is a complete ass. I don't know any other explanation for his statement that the Democratic candidate is not fit to be governor of Virginia because of his opposition to the death penalty. The Democratic candidate, Tim Kaine has represented death row inmates when he was a private criminal defense attorney. Apparently that makes him unfit to serve as a governor of the state of Virgina. I don't know Kilgore's view on anyones fitness to serve as governor of New Jersey or California. I do know that Kilgore believes he lives in a caste system where anyone who defends people who are charged in death penalty cases are unfit, are 'unclean' and so unworthy of certain jobs. What a nut job, what an ass.

If you happen to be a voter in Virginia you would want to reconsider voting for Kilgore. Kilgore doesn't believe you have certain rights because of views and activism he doesn't agree with. It wouldn't be a wise thing to give this self styled demigod any particular power to put his unamerican and dictatorial thoughts into action.
