The Steamboat Pilot & Today: Sweet Pea owners: 'We didn't want this'

The Steamboat Pilot & Today: Sweet Pea owners: 'We didn't want this': "Mr. Kerry St. James"

Les Miserables is a story by Solomon Cleaver that everyone knows a little bit about. A man is thrown in jail for stealing food. The peasant Jean Valjean spend 19 years in jail for that so called crime. That single act of disproportionate justice is the central act of the story. Nothing like that could ever happen in America right? You don't go to jail, with a felony conviction for stealing food in America right? Well, in Steamboat Springs you can go to jail on a felony conviction for stealing food. Ask the evil Assistant District Attorney Kerry St. James in Steamboat Springs because he offered the Hobson's choice to a couple of people of either going to trial charged with felonies for the crime of stealing food from a dumpster or accepting a plea deal and six months in jail. The Assistant District Attorney Kerry St. James deserves to be vilified as someone with bad judgment, evil intent and a lack of respect for humanity in general. The story of the two men has made it to Drudge Report and will get some of the attention it deserves. Kerry St. James, who has badly served the people of Steamboat Springs Colorado will begin to feel the heat of his lack of judgment and will be exposed for the evil of his actions. He will hopefully be fired, his name will forever be linked to this attempt at medieval justice. It's a example of what happens when power is given to the wrong people who have neither the temperment or the morality to be in a position where they have power over people and hopefully the internet will create teh storm that will expose this case and bring justice to the case.
